Sharonda Weatherspoon is currently the head of retail operations, client development & transformation NA • Retail. She has traveled extensively and is a leading force in driving RFID technology for the company which has resulted in her company being a leader in the industry. In addition to her current role, Sharonda currently serves as the chairperson for the North America Direct to Consumer Diversity and Inclusion Council where she works to drive initiatives that creates a culture where all employees can thrive to be their best. These initiatives have led to discussions and actions around racial injustice as well as creating a more inclusive environment.
Prior to her current position, Sharonda was Vice President of Stores, Store Operations and Communication, and Senior Director of Store Operations and Communication. Sharonda has also served as the Director of Human Resources at Ralph Lauren in which she was responsible for over 11,000 employees. In this role, Sharonda was engaged in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including strategic planning, learning and development, organizational development and proactive employee relations. In addition, she was responsible for ensuring legal compliance for all labor related issues.
Sharonda has won numerous awards for her excellence in industry including the prestigious Black Achievers in Industry through the Harlem YWCA, the Service Award at Ralph Lauren for her tireless contributions to philanthropic initiatives with the Diversity Council and Polo Ambassadors. Recently she was named to the Lead’s Direct 60 executives mastering the “Direct to Consumer” experience. She is a mentor and counts this as one of her greatest achievements.
She is on the Board of Directors for the New Brunswick Educational Foundation, an organization that provides funding for educational programs in the school district and scholarships for graduating seniors, Diversity Council and Polo Ambassadors at Ralph Lauren, a volunteer at the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention, a consistent participant in AIDS Walk NYC, Habitat for Humanity and God’s Love We Deliver. She is also on the Advisory Board for Women in Retail. She is an active member of the Abundant Life Family Worship Church and is a member of the Praise and Worship team and Royal Priesthood Choir.
